A movement of disciple making disciples

St Paul’s Hostel

St Paul’s Hostel, in Worcester, is a direct access hostel for single adults. It has forty male beds and six female. The hostel provides residents with drinks, a cooked breakfast, lunch time snack and an evening meal.

Members of our church have been involved in St Paul’s Hostel for several years, helping with the evening meal or volunteering in other ways.

We’re looking for new people to join our team of volunteers that help serve the evening meal and clear up afterwards.  The commitment from each team member is for about an hour and a half, twice within a fortnight, four or five times a year. You don’t need to be able to cook. If you’re interested in joining the team or want find out more contact Paul Clarke.

Paul says: “It’s easy to get involved, no cooking is required, and it only takes a couple of hours every three months – ideal for even the busiest of schedules.

“The staff and clients at the hostel really appreciate the assistance given by all volunteers and it’s a simple way of putting faith into action.  St Paul’s Hostel is exactly the kind of place Jesus would hang out.”

You can also contact Paul if you’re interested in other volunteering opportunities such as visiting residents in hospital, providing transport to appointments, befriending residents or offering educational or recreational support to residents alone or in small groups.
