Worcester Street Pastors have operated in Worcester City Centre each Saturday night/Sunday morning since October 2010 – listening, caring and helping. Street pastors are trained volunteers from local churches, led by a local coordinator and with support from local churches and community groups in partnership with the police, local council and other statutory agencies.

Give thanks for …

  • The appointment of a new local co-ordinator, Jerry.
  • The recent addition of new street pastors to the team which include Alison from our church and Roger from Malvern. This has been a great encouragement to the team.
  • The continuing faithful service of the Prayer Pastors and their Co-ordinators who mobilise weekly prayer support for the operational team.

Pray for …

  • More volunteers enabling more flexibility for the operational teams with the possibility of being able to send out teams two nights per week.
  • Existing operational street pastors to move into team leader roles.
  • Continued growth and recognition amongst young people and street people of the presence and impact of Jesus’ disciples in making Worcester a safer and more supportive night-time environment
