And when your children ask you, ‘What does this ceremony mean to you?’ then tell them, ‘It is the Passover sacrifice to the Lord, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’” Then the people bowed down and worshipped. Youth Cafe is open on Friday nights from 6:30 – 9:30 for young people aged 11-18. Each week we welcome 80-100 youth into church for a night of fun, games and conversation. However, the leaders all know we are not just another youth activity….we know that God is with us! The question is, how do we become a space that is distinctively different because of God and how should we share that with the young people we meet? This passage from Exodus always speaks to me about the importance of being God’s hands and feet to others, about the potential power of simply being a follower of Jesus in the presence of not-yet believers.
