I think this is an important question. In a world that is chaotic, stressful and disrupted, places of peace that nourish the soul seem few and far between. Despite this, we all know that we need to find these helpful places to increase our health and wellbeing. We hear all the time that mental health issues are spiraling out of control. The onus is upon each one of us to find healthy balances in life that ensure we remain well. Simon Thomas, the well know presenter from Sky Sports and The Wellbeing Journey, says, In the times that we are living in, the topic of Wellbeing has never been more relevant or important.

Im sure youll have heard the phrase, you are what you eat. I know personally that how I feel and how healthy I am is very closely linked to what I consume. I wonder how much you consider this and from what perspective? Do you think about physical health, mental health, emotional health?  Do you consider your spiritual health?

In the Bible Jesus speaks of a different kind of food that we need. He says, “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.“  (Matthew 4:4 NIV)

At Soul Food, our monthly contemporary evening service, we focus on the spiritual. Our strap line Be Nourished! indicates our desire for spiritual health. We want all who attend to be nourished by the love and leading of Jesus. Through vibrant worship, applicable teaching and times of response, prophecy and healing, we set aside time to feed on God and consume food for the soul.

Please come and check it out. We meet on the second and fourth Sunday evenings of the month at 18.30 Everyone is invited to Soul Food and to Be Nourished!’
